I am a recent Oxford graduate with a degree in English Language & Literature , specialising in English and Music Tuition. I have a passion for education and enjoy sharing knowledge, striving to make learning fun and tailored to suit what each individual would like to achieve. I am hard-working, patient, quietly determined and not shy of a challenge, assets which I believe make a great private tutor. I have an excellent academic record, an Oxford 2:1 degree in English Language and Literature, where I received a 1st classification for papers on Shakespeare and Renaissance literature. My tuition would be ideal for students that would require additional help with their studies in English and Humanities at all Key Stages, GCSE and A-Level. My degree covered a broad range of key texts from Middle English to modern day literature, which well-equipped me for teaching poetry, drama and prose. I have worked with children and young people in a number of capacities over the years: as a child-minder, tutor and events manager in my various roles in arts marketing (I work in a part-time marketing role for the BBC Symphony Orchestra & BBC Singers). I currently tutor a small number of students of varying ages, from GCSE to A-Level, helping them with exam technique and developing a deeper understanding of the subject. I find tutoring a truly rewarding experience and am committed to helping young people learn, develop and reach their goals.
