Hello, my name is Francesca. I am a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering, currently working at an engineering consultancy in London. Growing up I’ve always enjoyed sciences and maths but I wasn’t always amazing at them. It was only through hard work and great mentors that I was able to grow in confidence and get the grades I wanted to eventually end up in engineering. I want to now be able to give back and help others grow. I am really passionate and hard working in everything I do and I am sure that I can help all my students grow and teach them to enjoy the subjects as much as I do.
Having had some great tutors and mentors, I can appreciate how much the support and guidance I give can shape a young person’s growth. I have three to four years of tutoring experience and the reason I keep doing it and am so passionate about this job is the satisfaction I get in seeing the self-confidence of my students grow. I really enjoy the process of exposing them to their own potential. I believe that doing so helps them achieve their goals but also allows them to enjoy the subjects they are learning and hopefully grow new passions.
When I am not at my job I have several hobbies to take my mind off work. As an Italian, cooking is a massive part of my heritage and culture and so I love taking a little bit extra time on the weekends or in the evenings to cook extra nice meals and try new recipes. Something else I have loved since being a child has been reading, any small pockets of extra time I get I usually spend reading all kinds of books. I find it a really great way to relax!
