Current Government Guidelines for Returning to Face to Face Tuition

The government have said that now is it reasonable for tutors to resume work in others' homes. Students are welcome to request a face to face tutor, and tutors may arrange lessons at their students' homes. However, we would like all of our tutors and students to follow these steps.

Respect for Everyone's Comfort

No one should feel worried or anxious about lessons taking place indoors, and if you do not feel comfortable to resume face to face lessons then please don't. Online tuition has worked well for many people during this period, and you are welcome to continue lessons online until you do feel comfortable.

Safety Guidelines

Tutors and students should adhere to the following:

  • Remain at least 2m from each other at all times, or further if the lesson can still take place
  • All doors should be opened so the tutor does not have to touch door handles
  • Wash/sanitise your hands at the start and at the end of each lesson
  • Avoid two people being present in any narrow spaces like hallways
  • Do not share any pens, paper or devices
