2013 GCSE Results Analysis
The 2013 GCSE results have been released, showing a continuing trend in falling grades. Over 600,000 students in the UK have received their results, as schools say that confusion over changes to exams has caused a great deal of turbulence to their education. The number of papers awarded A*-C has fallen from 69.4% last year to 68.1%, a decrease which is likely to be politically significant given the controversial changes that have been made to exams.

Primary School Place Shortfall of 120,000
Figures released this week show that 120,000 children may not be able to start primary school this year due to a shortage in places. The Labour party conducted an analysis of the government’s plans to increase school places by 230,000, which showed that there will still be a significant shortfall this Autumn.
