It’s been a while since my last (and first!) blog, but that’s mainly because I’ve only recently returned from a (hopefully well-earned) holiday, and also because Cammil’s been working on a few things on the website; a lot of which I’m sure he’ll tell you about soon on this page.
Anyway, despite the lack of a blog, I have been very busy, and I’m getting quite excited about our new assessment system for tutors, which will come into operation early next year. I’ve spent over a year objectifying my ideas about teaching, and creating an assessment which tests all of these ideas. I trained one of our tutors (so that she can do assessments for us) a few weeks ago, which went really well, and I’m training someone else next week.
