Training Assessors, Blue Tutors Brochures, and a Little Tutoring Myself

It’s been another week where I feel like I’m just repeating myself in my blog. I had a good session on Friday, training another of our tutors to be an assessor; it seems like the changes I’ve made to the assessment sheet have made a real difference.

I’ve been doing a little tutoring myself (something which it’s become more and difficult to fit in while I’m also running Blue Tutors), which has reminded me of how much I enjoy teaching. Obviously I am teaching tutors to be assessors, and did a little trial a while ago teaching tutors to be better tutors, but this is tutoring in the way I started doing it.

The other thing I’ve been busy with in the last week is sending brochures about us to a number of places around the UK. Harriet’s been helping me, and we’re just trialling it out at the moment, to see what the response is like, but we’ll be sending many more brochures over the coming weeks, and we’re really hoping to have a large influx of students for the upcoming May and June exams.
