Well, it’s been nice to return to a semi-normal week after Christmas. It’s not that I’m a workaholic, but I sort of left a lot of things half finished before Christmas, and they’ve been playing on my mind for a while.
The priority at the moment is tidying up the way that I teach people to assess tutors. Basically I plan to send them a document with lots of info before I actually meet and teach them, and I’ve been making sure that it answers most questions that anyone would have. I always thought that the hardest part of training assessors would be objectifying the actual assessment criteria, but it’s been just as hard working on the best way to teach it (even though I suppose that’s something which I should be good at).
Other than that it’s been a quiet week. There has been lots of admin to deal with, but Harriet’s back now, which makes my life so much easier. Hopefully next week I’ll have something more interesting to write.
