More Training, and Last Ever Day of Old Style Assessments

It’s been a good week for me. As I mentioned last week, I trained another new assessor on Friday, and it went very well. I really am learning all the time about how best to teach this new system, and it reminds me of when I began tutoring.

We held some assessments in Oxford last week which was enjoyable, although it occurred to me that, with our new assessment system about to start, it was probably the last day of our old style assessments. I don’t know how to feel about that. I’m very excited about the new assessments, but I was also very proud of the old system, and we receive a lot of compliments from applicant tutors about our organisation and professionalism.

As for this week, it’s just more of the same. I’m in Oxford on Wednesday to train another assessor; we really are beginning to set up a team in London, Cambridge and Oxford. Also, the new system should be launched sometime this week, so fingers crossed that everything runs smoothly.
