Busy Arranging Hong Kong Tuition

As expected, I didn’t get a huge amount done last week while I was in Hong Kong. I did my best, but after arriving early on Wednesday morning, I had commitments for the rest of that day (I was a groomsman, so had to sort out my suit and go to the wedding rehearsal). Then, on Thursday I was so tired from travelling that it was a relatively short day. I did manage to respond to a few emails, and get through some of the tasks I had planned, but it was nothing like a proper working day.

Friday was very different though. I was up early to do as much as possible, and later in the afternoon I travelled to meet a lady, who lives in Hong Kong, who has offered to help with a project we’re looking to start there. Essentially it involves sending tutors to Hong Kong to stay with families, and provide intensive tuition while they’re there. We’re mainly just testing the idea at the moment, and I’m keen to see what the demand is like, but if we get a positive response then we might send lots of tutors to Hong Kong in 2011.

So, the plan now is to make up for last week by putting in loads of work over the next few days. An important task to complete is our ‘find-a-tutor’ form for students in Hong Kong. All I really have to do is add a few automatic checks of the data, so that should be done by the end of the week.
