I’ve been doing my best to get everything ready for when I’m not in the country after Christmas. I’m only away for a couple of weeks, but it would be a great help if I don’t necessarily have to do any work during that time. Obviously I’ll need to check in, but it will be really annoying if my friends are walking down to the beach, while I’m stuck in a darkened room trying to do some work. I’ve been working on two relatively simple website updates which will dramatically reduce the amount of work Harriet has to do, so that she can begin to cover the little bit of admin that I currently do. Hopefully this will all be done by this time next week; the day I leave!
Also, if you’re a tutor you may have noticed in the recent newsletter, that we’re on the lookout for a new admin executive (we always advertise within our tutors first, because they’re much much easier to train to do the job). Harriet’s away from the end of January until August, and I’m hoping that we can find someone to do a good job replacing her for that time. Obviously I have a little trepidation, because not only is it a really important position for Blue Tutors, but also I’ll have only two weeks after getting back from Australia to interview everyone, choose the best person, and train them to do the job.
