A Good January for Blue Tutors

Tutors tend to declare their lessons a few days after the lesson takes place, so it’s not until a week or so after the end of the month that I have a good idea of how well we’re doing. The good news is that our tutors taught roughly 20% more lessons this January than in January 2010, so we’re helping even more students 12 months on. To be honest, it always feels busy, and I’ve learnt not to use how little time Harriet and I have to judge how well we’re doing, but I did think that we were receiving many more requests than usual in January, and that’s turned out to be true.

I’ve been continuing with my categorisation of qualifications over the last 7 days, and the number left to do has come down from 13,000 to 9,000. It’s still not fun, but I’m managing to lock myself away for an hour or two a day to make sure I’m wading through them. At this rate I should be done within a couple of weeks, but I’m going to make an extra effort to see if I can finish by this time next week.
