Admin and Tutoring

I’ve spent most of the last week rushing around doing admin related jobs. I always hate those weeks because it never feels like I get very much done, although in truth, I probably clear up a lot of the annoying little problems that could take much longer.

The only interesting thing I did last week was tutoring. The student I’m teaching A level Maths to had her M1, S1 and D1 modules, and they all went pretty well. A few silly mistakes on M1, and I had to emphasise the importance of getting a good night’s sleep before an exam. Even though that’s one of the most important points on our website, and something I’m a strong believer in, she’s obsessed with doing loads the day before an exam, which often means staying up and only getting 5-6 hours sleep.

This week the plan is to finally finish off the accounting stuff I’ve been doing (I can’t believe it’s dragged on this long), and make a few final preparations for when Harriet and I go flyering in a couple of weeks.
