Disappointing Tutors

Something completely bizarre happened this week when we discovered that an old tutor of ours was arranging lessons with a student we originally put him in touch with. If that wasn’t bad enough, he was had requested one of our existing tutors to help with other subjects. I’m never sure to what extent this is my fault; I try to encourage a friendly understanding relationship with all of our tutors and students, but sometimes people just take advantage of that. I think I’m learning to deal with those situations, but it still never fails to disappoint me when someone treats us poorly.

I’m pleased to say that the assessor training in Oxford last week went well, and I’ve got another person to train in Cambridge on Thursday. Also, I’m actually doing some assessments myself tomorrow (for the first time since early August I think), so that will be a welcome break from the less sociable work I’ve been doing recently (programming).
