I’ve managed to reduce my work a little in the last week. For the last two and half years I’ve written two articles for our tuition news section each week. This is mainly to improve our ranking on search engines, and hasn’t taken that long, but it’s another task that distracts me from making improvements. Anyway, since I’ve taken a few more tasks away from Laura recently, I’ve asked her to write the tuition news articles from now on.
Elsewhere, I’ve made a few changes to the way that tutors and students enter their qualifications, so that they now have predictive drop down lists when they begin to type. The goal is to allow people to type whatever they like, but also to help both in the spelling (I know that sounds funny, but trust me, even tutors spell qualifications wrong), and the format of what is entered, because we sometimes have some weird interpretations of the information we ask for. For example, under qualification name, we’ve had people enter their own name.
