By Blue Tutors
I did some assessments in London last week for the first time in ages, which was good fun. I have to admit that when I was the only person assessing for Blue Tutors I began to dread the summer because of the number of tutors I had to assess. It has always been great to meet tutors who may go on to do so much good for our students, but it was very tiring to be so concentrated (which assessors have to be) for so many long days. Now that we have a great team of assessors I could probably avoid assessing altogether if I wanted to, but I do like to do it occasionally.
Otherwise things have kind of quietened down recently. We’ve had the last of the panicking last-minute student requests, and not it’s about looking forward to next year. Obviously we’ll have a number of students continuing through the summer, but the total number of students being tutored drops by around 80% from mid-June, and there are usually very few student requests for the next two months.
