One of my tasks this week was to sort out the flyering that we do every year in Oxford and Cambridge. This isn’t really that tough; we use a great printers now who should be delivering by the end of this week, and the only other part of the plan is to contact the colleges and check that they’re happy for us to put flyers in their student’s pigeonholes. This last part is actually the most difficult because some colleges aren’t even vaguely interested in what we have to say once they know what we want to do. I understand of course, because when I was at uni the amount of junk mail was pretty ridiculous, and was rarely anything relevant to me, but it’s a shame that some colleges don’t realise that the info we’re handing out is a bit different; I’m still amazed every year at the incredible response we get.
Otherwise, to report anything else I’ve done would just sound like repeating an old blog. The programming company I met regarding online tuition has not yet got back to me, which is a little annoying, so I’m going to have to chase them up this week. And I’ve made steady progress with my categorisation of every qualification in our database, but no amazing results yet.
