Happy new year to all of our tutors and students! I thought I should try and summarise 2012, and how it’s gone for us, but it’s the same old story: being so involved in everything that happens, I’m absolutely rubbish at giving any kind of interesting abridged version. I am fairly proud of how streamlined we’ve become without any loss of quality, and we’ve tutored more lessons in September, October, November and December than ever before in those months.
The big news is that Rhian is starting this week as our new admin exec, so if you’re a tutor or a student then that’s who you’ll be dealing with on a regular basis until Harriet returns in three month’s time. I briefly introduced Rhian to the admin section of our site last week, but I’m training her tomorrow so that she can start work properly. To be honest, given that I’m essentially tutoring her in the admin workings of Blue Tutors, I should be much better at the training. I tend to fall into being a little lecturey, and tell myself off.
