Online Tuition Becoming More Complicated

I’ve been working on the functionality of our new Online Tuition site this week. I spent a few days with the friend who is helping me, and we’ve come up with what I think is an awesome way for tutors to communicate with potential students and begin a lesson. I have to say, three months ago when we began this, the idea was to get a very basic system in place, and then add cool functions as the system took off. I’m not really sure how I feel now; the positive is that we won’t have umpteen teething problems when we launch, but the negative is that I have to put in lots of work now before we even start, and I’m itching to start.

Harriet was away on Thursday last week, so I covered for her, which included writing a couple of articles for the articles section on the website. It’s kind of nice to read about the latest news in education and tuition, but it does frustrate me as well. Whereas Michael Gove does seem to rub everyone he meets up the wrong way, I can’t remember reading one legitimate criticism of his policies. Sometimes it reminds me of a bickering couple; “it’s not what you said, it’s the way you said it”.
