Everyone finds it difficult to start things off because most of the time, they have no idea where they are going. Logic follows that if they have no idea where they are going, they will have no idea where to start. The few, who are lucky and know what they want in life, will need to work very hard to get the momentum going. And to keep going, they require an extremely strong will and determination.
It is also the same in studying. Extra tuition gives you the extra push to help you start things off, to guide you in the right direction and the tutor is there to give support and motivation to their tutees so that they are able to perform their best.
Studying is no 100m race. It is a marathon with no finish line. There is always something to learn. All athletes have trainers to condition them apart from their coaches. It is the same in learning. By having extra tuition, pupils are given the confidence boost they need to achieve good results. Extra tuition is not only for children who are struggling; it is also a vital tool that ensures pupils achieve the very best of their potential.
Usain Bolt holds the world record of the men’s 100m with 9.58 seconds. For athletes, their best record is what they are known and put down in history for. Roger Federer will be remembered for occupying the number 1 spot for 237 consecutive weeks and his 16 and counting Grand Slams. For most others, their academic record is what they will be known for. Your child’s academic record is for life and will be their CV for their future endeavours.
Whether you are preparing your child for their entrance exams into secondary school or getting ready for the onset of GCSE and A-level revision, your child’s education can be a cause for anxiety. The load can be lightened by extra tuition: a supplement to your child’s normal school day and peace of mind for you.
This article is certainly not saying the schools are not doing their job properly, inadequate or your child is struggling. Frequently, it is simply the fact that there is immense pressure and competition to win a place at a highly sought after private school in order to give your child the best possible start in life, or giving the edge and focus on getting them through school exams so attending prestigious universities around the globe is no longer just a dream.
School places are awarded according to entrance exam results and sometimes catchment area and competition can be fierce. "Investing in a tutor can give your child that initial head-start."
More children than you think will have some form of tutoring, and it needs not be an issue of pride or an admittance that your child may be struggling. After all, the ultimate winner will be your child, either getting into the school of their choice, or progressing through secondary school exams, both GCSEs and A-levels with more ease than they thought possible. And if university is on the table, tutors can assist with that too- from UCAS forms to coaching for interviews.
