A Level Results Released

It’s a great time to run a tutoring agency right now. Last Thursday the A Level results were announced, and that means loads of phonecalls from happy parents and students, letting us know that they’re going to university. It’s a really nice feeling, because often, during the rest of the year, we’re only contacted when there’s a problem. Obviously this is set to continue this week and next too, when the GCSE results are released.

The only downside to results day is that we also receive lots of requests from anxious and upset students, who are looking for a tutor to help with retakes. I say downside, it’s definitely good for business, just sad to hear so about students who haven’t done as well as they had hoped. I suppose this has to happen though; everyone can’t get straight A*s in their A Levels.

From my point of view, everything’s going well, but I was in Portugal visiting a friend for 4 days over the last week, so haven’t got much to report in terms of work completed. My subject categorisation is coming along though, and I think that should be completed within 3 weeks.
