The big project this week has been improving the check we make on lesson fees when a tutor enters a lesson. Currently there’s just a message suggesting that the lesson fee might be wrong, and asking the tutor to confirm it. This really isn’t very helpful, because it doesn’t explain why the fee is wrong, or give the tutor any options to explain the problem. I’ve pretty much finished this, so it should be uploaded and working by the time this blog is published. Just in time too, because we have so many lessons booked in the next few weeks.
Online tuition is ready for testing now, and I’m playing around with that to make sure that I’m happy with everything before it goes live. I also have to do a considerable amount of tidying up and rearranging, because the code for online tuition is currently effective, but not very pretty. I’m hoping all that won’t take too long, and it should just be a case of putting things in tables, and changing fonts here and there....but I’ve said that before, and it’s been 2 months work.
