We get many requests from parents who have children with special tutoring requirements, whether this is Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyslexia or some kind of hearing impairment. These children are often the ones who suffer at school, not from a want of intelligence but from a lack of ability to respond in the same way to a teaching style which is directed at the majority, as indeed it must be.

Anyway, tutors often shy away from accepting such students and are rightly wary - they shouldn’t be accepted unless you are experienced or willing to put in the effort required to become familiar with the teaching techniques necessary.
