Another Replacement for Harriet

It’s good to be back in the swing of things after a very fun, but very disruptive holiday last week. Having said that, I’ve spent lots of the last week planning for someone to replace Harriet again for the last part of the year. It’s not ideal; originally the plan was for Laura to work during the two periods when Harriet was away, but those periods were supposed to be much closer together. There’s nothing Harriet could have done about though, and we’ve just got to roll with the punches. Hopefully it will all be sorted shortly.

I think we made some progress with online tuition last week. It really is taking ages, but in way that’s comforting, because it feels like we’re being careful to find the right solution. I’ve been speaking to a company who are confident that they can do what we want, and now it’s just about formalising the development process and getting started.

Otherwise, things have been ticking along nicely. I haven’t read any articles about the ‘unfairness’ of the GCSEs recently, so I’m not going to have another rant about that. As always, we’re receiving lots and lots of requests for tutors at the moment, and the number of lessons per week (something we monitor) is steeply rising.
