Looking for Useful Webpages

Obviously nothing much gets done in the week that has just passed. I’ve finally managed to stop working on Christmas and Boxing day, something I used to have difficulty doing, but Christmas eve gets more like a bank holiday every year; shops close early and everyone’s in Christmas mode by midday. Whereas I feel as though I should be working, and I always have things to do, I tend to get dragged away early too as my family decide that I have to get festive when everyone else does. Hehe, all that makes me sound like Scrooge; I do like Christmas, but would prefer it to stop starting in September.

Despite everything, I did manage to take a look through our webpages last week to get an idea of what our tutors and students are looking at, and what they find useful. The goal is to create an even more useful website, and remove the pages that no one ever looks at. We have over 100 public pages, the majority of which are looked at less than 2-3 times a day. Every page was considered to be needed when it was written, so I’m trying to work out whether unpopular pages are just difficult to find, or whether they’re of no interest to tutors or students. Once we know that, we can start to create pages that we know will be popular, or ensure that the information is easier to find.
