Some tutors in Hong Kong are regarded as vitally important for Education in the country. In a report on the Haiti News website, it’s revealed that some tutors can earn up to $1.5 million a year.
The cost of some kindergartens in Hong Kong is higher than some colleges, and as a result, parents are prepared to pay what some would consider ‘extreme’ amounts for a tutor to help their children with Maths and English from a young age. This may be due to the perceived pressures on students which is common in the far east.
The market in Hong Kong has been estimated at roughly $460 million per year, and tutors advertise themselves on TV, and large street posters. This was revealed recently because many tutors have become more famous, and the press have disclosed their properties, salaries, and purchases of luxury cars.
