Laura was away on Monday and Tuesday last week, so I was covering for her. Sorry if anyone noticed that it less efficient than normal; admin really isn’t something I’m very good at, I think I get distracted too easily.
The admin kind of ate into the start of my week, and then I was in Cambridge on Wednesday to do a few assessments, which was good fun, but the result was that I really wasn’t very productive. There are lots of things on my to do list at the moment, and finding the time seems to have been increasingly difficult for the last month or so. Euro 2012 is pretty much over now though, which is a big help, and should give me more time.
Most of our work at the moment is concerned with recruiting new tutors. I noticed, when doing admin, that we had lots of emails from prospective tutors either sending us their CVs (btw, you don’t need to do that, just complete our application form) or asking about upcoming assessment days. As a result, I’m trying to persuade our assessors to arrange more assessment days. In London, Oxford and Cambridge we seem to be doing quite well, but it’s elsewhere in the UK where we need some more.
