Prince Harry has questioned whether exams will continue to be given to students during a recent visit to Nottingham Academy. Reported on the BBC, the Duke of Sussex went to the school on World Mental Health Day and, following a nurture session, wondered whether we would scrap exams in the future.
The session is designed to improve students’ mental health and self-esteem and the prince felt that the list of exams students had to sit was overwhelming and had a negative psychological effect. He joked that the students can look forward to Christmas after their upcoming exams, and described exam season as “the best time of the year” adding “not really”.
Both the Dukes and Duchesses of Sussex and Cambridge were part of an advert which recently aired to increase awareness of mental health problems. One website dealing with such issues said that they had been overwhelmed by the response following the advert being shown. Prince Harry, along with Ed Sheehan, has urged us all to look out for anyone who may be suffering in silence.
